Our Mission:

Student ministry is a huge part of Discovery Church! We know that middle school and high school is an exciting but also trying time. During these transformative years, students are more receptive to Christ and most in need of an accepting community. At Discovery we provide a place where teenagers can find both. Our goal is to help middle school and high school students develop a faith that is Personal, a faith revealing their Purpose, and a faith filled with Power.

On Sundays:

In addition to our church-wide services we have two gatherings specific to students. On Sunday mornings at 9:30am we have Ekplesso. The Bible tells us that upon hearing Jesus people were often "astounded." That word is translated from Greek the word Ekplesso. On Sundays our goal is to dive a little deeper into God's word and experience Ekplesso!

On Wednesdays:

On Wednesdays at 6:00pm we have Disruption. Filled with games, music, food and fun – at Disruption middle school and high school students can give God a chance to disrupt their lives and learn to be disruptive for Him.

TCTC is a gathering of students from all over the state of Tennessee for a weekend of worship and excitement! This year TCTC will be joined by speaker Taylor Brown, worship band For All Seasons, and artists Tauren Wells, and We Are Messengers! On top of all that, our group will take over the streets of Gatlinburg and spend the weekend together in a luxurious cabin, complete with arcade, theater, hot tub, and ample parking!

This summer, students currently in grades 6-12 are heading to Carson Newman University in Jefferson City for Centrifuge. This is an insanely fun camp where teenagers join hundreds of their peers to worship God and grow deeper in their faith. The cost is $250 per person. A nonrefundable $50 deposit is due by Jan 31 to reserve a spot. Registration is live now!
